NFT Gaming Studios and Publishers
The more complex a collection of digital assets is, the better suited it is for the Pixel protocol. If a collection of digital assets has in-game utility or has different degrees of benefit depending on the situation within a game, the more nuanced it is to grasp and therefore to buy.
An ERC-1155 NFT collection that buys passes to an IRL experience for example has a simple purchase decision process as you will buy the cheapest available as all items are identical. If a user applies this behavior for a game, they will likely buy a digital item that doesn't do what they are looking to do. Sorting by price on a traditional marketplace no longer makes the cut. It is important to understand other information both from the item metadata as well as from its in-game context and on-chain data if other players' activities are recorded there. Building a great experience in this case requires a custom-built experience to allow users to get the information they are looking for and present it in a way that is easy to understand.
Pixel allows gaming studios to build their own custom-built storefronts but also empowers the community of players to design their own storefronts. Many iconic games have come out from community enthusiasts building and designing mods. We believe that new meta games will be discovered across thousands of games as community members keep building their own experiences while at the same time monetizing from the liquidity they bring to the table.
